Consultant Learning®

How many times have you said to yourself, "There must be a better way to teach"? Most teachers I know think this thought every day. They know there must be a way to get their students engaged and excited about learning, but they feel that the current structure of most classes keeps them from doing their best teaching and their students from doing their best learning.

If you are totally satisfied with your teaching experience and you are totally satisfied with the learning that is going on in your classroom, then you probably don't need to read on.

But if you are searching for a better way to engage students, motivate students, and structure a classroom so that you don't have to spend the majority of your time enforcing rules, disciplining, and grading, then read on. If you are looking for a better way that frees you to really teach and coach students to do their best work -- then this information is for you.

On this site you will find information on a new methodology for classroom management and teaching that can change your experience in the classroom as well as changing your students' experience in your classroom. The method is called Consultant Learning®: Empowering Students to Excel. It is a new model of Student-Centered Problem-Based Learning that is excellent for any classroom, regardless of discipline, but also perfect for use in Small Learning Communities.

Consultant Learning® can change you from being a cop, rule enforcer, judge, and adversary to your students into being a coach, helper, and partner to your students in helping them to learn and do the best and most exciting work of their academic lives.

Click "Next" to go through the pages listed on the left to get a brief explanation of how the Consultant Learning® framework transfoms your teaching into coaching and your students from bored drudges to enthusiastic players in the role-play game that is the Consultant Learning®.
